The idea for Digital Day came to me one afternoon as I was walking down the beach, thinking about a few people who had recently reached out about portrait sessions. As we chatted more, I realised what they actually needed were digitals—simple, clean images that could help them start (or grow) their modeling work.
It made me think about how many amazing, photogenic people live in this area, and how much talent is already here. And with my intention to work more closely with brands, I thought—why not create an opportunity that serves both sides? Give models a chance to have professional, industry-standard images and create a growing database of local talent I can recommend to my clients for future brand shoots.
And just like that, Digital Day was born. Keep reading for more details.
More about Digital Day
What is a Digital Day?
A Digital Day is a full day I’m dedicating to shooting modeling digitals—sometimes called polaroids—in a relaxed and fun environment. The goal is to make the process approachable and affordable while still delivering high-quality, professional results.
What Are Digitals (And Why Do They Matter)?
Digitals are simple, unedited images taken in natural or straightforward lighting that show the model’s true appearance. No heavy editing, no dramatic styling—just you.
These are the types of photos agencies and brands look at first when considering new faces. They give a sense of what you really look like and how you carry yourself in front of the camera. Think of them as your foundation.
Why Have a Digital Day?
There are two main reasons I’m offering this session:
- To help models build a professional foundation that they can use to approach agencies, brands, or casting calls.
- To create a reliable database of local talent that I can present to my clients for future brand shoots in Costa Rica.
So whether you are just starting out, looking to refresh your images, or simply curious about modeling, this is a great opportunity.
How will it work?
You’ll arrive at the location about 30 minutes before your scheduled session. When you check in, my assistant will take your info to add you to our database, and Joha from Joha Bikinis will be on-site to take your measurements.
Once you are ready, we’ll start with your first look and take 8–10 standard digitals poses. Then you’ll change into your second look, and we’ll repeat the process.
After the shoot, you will pre-select your favourite images from each look. I’ll do some light edit (color and light correction only), and you’ll receive access to your gallery to pick your preferred images within a week of the session.
What You’ll Receive
- 8 digitals from each look (16 total) in high resolution
- A spot in my database to be considered for future work
- The option to add additional services like a comp card or stylized portraits to build out your portfolio
Pricing
₡50,000 or $100 USD
This is designed to be accessible—especially for those just starting out—and to offer real value both in what you receive and in the potential opportunities that could follow.

If you are wondering what a comp card is or what I mean by stylized portraits, keep reading.
Comp Card
A comp card (short for composite card) is like a model’s business card. It usually includes a headshot on the front and a selection of digitals or portfolio images on the back, along with your basic stats—height, measurements, eye color, etc.
It is what models send to agencies and brands to introduce themselves and showcase their range. It is clean, professional, and makes a strong first impression. If you are planning to pursue modeling seriously, having a comp card is a great next step.
Stylized Portrait
While digitals are very natural and stripped back, stylized portraits are a little more creative. They allow for a bit of personality to come through—playing with wardrobe, hair and makeup, or even a theme.
These images still highlight you, but with more of an editorial or brand-focused vibe. They are perfect if you want to round out your portfolio or have something a little more expressive to share on social media or with potential clients.
You will have the option to add either (or both) of these to your Digital Day package if you want to expand your image collection beyond the basics. Please have a look at my website for further examples.
